Horse-Drawn Hearses

Kerr Family Funerals are able to offer you a range of traditional and elegant horses, working in partnership with Regency Horse & Carriage Masters.

We can provide the beautifully majestic black Friesian stallions or the graceful white Lipizzaners or a combination of both. You can choose from a pair of horses, or a team of 4 or a set of 6 to lead the funeral procession. It is also possible to arrange outriders if you would like them.

There is also a selection of beautiful black or white, 19th and 21st century carriages to choose from, all lovingly kept and beautifully furnished.

You can choose from a large selection of drapes as well as matching plumes, in a wide range of colours or arrange for bespoke drapes to be made at an additional cost.

Regency Horse and Carriage Masters are a family run business and provide a very professional and personal service. All of their staff are fully qualified in commercial carriage driving and have many years experience.

Please note that even though the horses are very fit, in the interests of their welfare, we would not expect a normal funeral cortège to exceed 8 miles, from the family’s home, with a duration of up to 2½ hours.
