Traditional, hand-built coffins
When someone dies it is easy to be overwhelmed by the practical arrangements. Kerr Family Funerals are here to guide you through making some of those decisions, including which coffin to choose.
Kerr Family Funerals are pleased to be able to offer a wide selection of traditional, contemporary and natural coffins, caskets and urns.
Working in partnership with Bradnam Joinery, all products are hand-crafted and draw upon traditional and modern techniques. Particular attention is being paid to providing environmentally-friendly coffins from a range of materials such as Wicker and Cardboard.
We can help you choose a unique design to reflect your loved one’s values and personality and the coffin can be engraved with their name.

Cambridge Oak
Built using high quality solid Oak with raised panels, a raised lid and trimmed with triple mouldings. Hinged lid optional (shown fitted with No. 3 bar handles, T-ends and wreath holders).

Built using high quality Oak veneer with routed Rose panels, a raised lid and trimmed with single mouldings (shown fitted with Oscar bar handles and wreath holders).

Built using high-quality solid timber, painted white with routed square panels, a raised lid and trimmed with double mouldings (shown fitted with 600/4 handles and wreath holders).

Painted Named Coffins
MDF coffin sprayed white and trimmed with single mouldings and engraved name on the sides (shown fitted with 300/7 handles and wreath holders in Nickel Plate).

Bamboo
Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on earth and is 100% natural and biodegradable. Supplied with a fitted liner.

Willow
A traditional style, natural willow coffin suitable for cremation and burial. It features a wooden base, load-bearing handles and is supplied with a cotton lining and matching quilt and pillow.

Seagrass
Seagrass is highly renewable and once spun into a strong yarn, is woven into this beautiful, curve ended coffin. Supplied with a fitted natural cotton lining and rope handles.

Cardboard
Our cardboard coffins are manufactured from corrugated cardboard and constructed using corn starch glues. Calico liners and natural rope handles are available. A variety of other colours and designs are also available.
