Major Stephen Gowler (R) was Promoted to Glory suddenly on Tuesday 23rd June 2026, aged 73 years. A devoted husband to Joan, loving father to Emma, Rickard and Becky. He dedicated his life to serving others through The Salvation Army, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Major Stephen’s Funeral Service will take place at West Herts Crematorium, Garston, Watford on Friday 10th July, in the North Chapel at 11:30am. Later that same day there will be a Thanksgiving Service at Hendon Salvation Army, 1-5 Brampton Grove, Hendon, London, NW4 4AE at 6:30pm. All are respectfully invited.
